I had one of the best times ever at this show. I was the opening act in a trio of ladies and may I just say we all rocked. Cam Boyd came out and played guitar with me, even jumping in on a song we hadn’t rehearsed previously! Amazing. I just love singing with him. It’s so much more fun to be up there with a buddy.
Julia Massey followed with some great heartfelt tunes. She even pulled out the Casio keyboard. It was so awesome and I was so jealous of her keyboard. Plus, she’s one of those people that you just sort of instantly fall in love with. Really, you should catch one of her shows just to bask in her sunshine.

The Side Project finished up the night with some of the most gorgeous music I’ve heard in a long time. Suzie Bradford has an incredible voice and their lush music just washes over you and makes you feel all buttery inside. Ben Bradford played some amazing guitar (I’m so jealous!) and the whole band sounded great together. They’re another band you really need to see.

I will be playing shows with these ladies again. Look for us soon.

xoxo
mona

I had plenty of time to eat dinner before my set at the Repp. With Cam Boyd providing lovely background music, I stuffed myself with delicious steak. The food was really outstanding. As soon as I was done eating I climbed the ladder to the stage (yes, I had to climb a ladder. I’m so brave!) and Cam and I rocked out a set for the after dinner crowd.
Super good food and super fun, I would highly recommend the Repp next time you’re in Snohomish.
xoxo
mona

Despite the weather being less than perfect there was a good crowd at the 2nd Annual Mukilteo Bluegrass/Folk Festival. It was rainy and grey, but everyone’s spirits were kept up listening to a wide array of great musicians. There were so many nice guitars there to drool over and all the people were equally nice! If you missed the show this year, you should make a point of looking for it next year. This is one of my favorite shows. I get to look out at the water while I sing and the people that put this on are just wonderful.
xoxo
mona

Cafe Allegro comes through with a great venue and the nicest people you’ll ever meet. Bill White opened the evening with a great acoustic set, followed by Colby Stead who rounded out his guitar and vocals with cello and accordian. It’s always fun to listen to how talented everyone is. And then I got to do my thing too so that’s extra fun.
xoxo
mona
